This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) explains the information collection, use, and sharing practices of On Page SEO Quick Fix (“we,” “us,” and “our”).
Unless otherwise stated, this Policy describes and governs the information collection, use, and sharing practices of On Page SEO Quick Fix extension with respect to your use of our Google Chrome Extension (“Services”).
Before you use our Services, please carefully review this Privacy Policy. By using any part of the Services, you acknowledge the practices outlined in this Privacy Policy.
Our Principles
We have designed this policy to be consistent with the following principles:
- Privacy First: We believe the best way to protect your data is to not collect it in the first place.
- Local Processing: Analysis should happen on your device, not on our servers.
- Transparency: Data practices should be easy for users to understand.
Information Collection and Use
Unlike many other web extensions, On Page SEO Quick Fix extension does not collect, store, or transmit your personal data.
1. Information You Provide
- No Account Required: You do not need to create an account, provide an email address, or pay a subscription to use the extension. Therefore, we do not collect your contact information.
2. Automatic Data Collection
- Local Analysis: The extension analyzes the HTML content and SEO metrics of the web pages you visit locally within your browser. This data is processed in your computer’s random-access memory (RAM).
- No Server Transmission: We do not transmit your visited URLs, page content, or search history to any external servers.
- No Tracking Cookies: We do not use cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics (such as Google Analytics) to monitor your browsing behavior.
Permissions and Technical Access
To function correctly, the extension relies on specific permissions granted by the Chrome browser:
- activeTab: This permission is used strictly to read the Document Object Model (DOM) of the current page you are analyzing. This allows the extension to identify SEO elements (such as H1 tags, Meta descriptions, and Alt text). This access is transient and ceases once you close the extension or the tab.
- storage: We may use the browser’s local storage API (chrome.storage.local) solely to save your interface preferences (e.g., turning a specific setting on/off). This data remains on your device and is not sent to us.
Data Sharing and Disclosure
Since we do not collect your personal information or browsing history, we have no data to share.
- No Third-Party Sharing: We do not share, sell, or rent data to third-party advertisers, data brokers, or marketing firms.
- No International Transfers: Since data is processed locally on your device, your data never leaves your jurisdiction.
Data Retention
We do not retain your data. The SEO reports and analysis generated by the extension are ephemeral. They exist only while the extension popup is open or the specific browser tab is active. Once you close the extension, the data is cleared from your browser’s memory.
Children’s Privacy
Our Services are not directed to children under the age of 13. However, since we do not collect personal information from any user, we naturally do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will post any changes on this page and revise the “Last Updated” date above.
